7-9 April International Rare Book &Autograph Fair

If you love reading, you must take part of the “International Rare Book &Autograph Fair”, held in the Grand Palais. You may also come across rare prints, autographs and manuscripts. Salon International du Livre. Station Champs-Élysées – Clemenceau, Metro Line 4

2 April- Free Museums

Since the year 2000, during the first Sunday of the month, the city’s national museums (with the exception of the Grand Palais, but including the Louvre, the Orsay and the Musée Albert Kahn) have opened their doors to the public for absolutely no charge. You can also visit Musee de l Orangerie, Versaille, etc.

5 April- “Tokyo-Paris. Masterpieces from the Bridgestone Museum of Art”

Due to its temporary closure for renovation work, the Bridgestone Museum of Art in Tokyo is lending 76 of its pictorial treasures to the Musée de l’ Orangerie in Paris, from 5 April  to 21 August 2017. Bringing the masterpieces of great artists such as Picasso, Caillebotte, Monet, the exhibition ‘Tokyo-Paris’ offers visitors in Paris a wonderful opportunity to discover one of the finest private collections of modern and contemporary art. 8 & 9 April- Video City Paris

9 April -Maraton of Paris

Come and join the Maraton of Paris. The starting line for the Paris Marathon is on the Avenue des Champs-Elysees. Runners head downhill and around the Place de la Concorde before turning right into Rue de Rivoli. Then passes the Louvre, goes round the outside of the Place de la Bastille and on to the Boulevard Soult towards the Bois de Vincennes.
