Paris is full of surprises!
And the surprise effect isn’t exactly what the romanticism represents?
The unexpected is precisely what we’re all looking for in our lives, and that’s the reason why we love being surprised! In Paris, there is loads of unusual places where no one go…and that makes these sites more romantics.
In the Manoir de Paris, you will know the fear… but what’s more romantic that letting yourself be reassured by a hug in the strong arms of the one you love.
The Musee des Arts forains is the place where you can become once again the child you where…and that’s also pretty surprising!
See the strangeness of the Danse de la Fontaine Emergente or at night see its lights and colors.
I could continue like this for a long time, giving you examples of places of surprises in Paris, but let’s just say that the list is a non-exhaustive one…
The most magic part of the world
The word that all the tourists use to describe Paris, is “magic». And it’s true!! Paris has magical sides, magical views, and magical moments.
And that’s certainly romantic…
If you go to the Eiffel Tower at night, you will see it illuminated and I can’t explain it just using words, you have to see it, to feel it…This magical Parisian moments, with lights at night in a dark Paris, is really touching and it warms up hearts.
In December, Paris is more than ever the most beautiful city of the world…the lights, the Christmas markets it’s simply magic!!
Beautiful City of light
More than just love, the romantic side of Paris, wake up others emotions thanks to its beautiful and unique architecture and places. The Basilica Sacré Coeur, the Arc de Triomphe,etc.. are a proof of the wonderful historic Parisian architecture that makes of Paris the most romantic city on Earth.
At the Pont des Arts, you can see the padlocks of love that millions of people have attached there to say there love in front of the whole world! In the same idea, another place very romantic in Paris, is the Mur des “Je t’aime” in the Square Jehan Rictus when you can see “I Love You” written in all the languages of the world!
Walking hand in hand in the Parc Monceau, or walking along the Seine from the Champs Elysees to the Ile Saint Louis will surely increase any feeling…
Exalted and glorified city
The Parisian culture helped Paris win its romantic reputation. Movies, songs, and books from all over the world and from each period of time describes Paris as the city of love. French artists like Edith Piaf, and Charles Aznavour among others, sang wonderful songs about Paris (“La Boheme”, ”Sous le ciel de Paris”…), but international singers did too. Gershwin wrote “an American in Paris” after his trip to the French capital!
The Wood Allen’s movie “Midnight in Paris” is describing to us the magical sides of Paris, which become a brand new city at night…
Artists from everywhere wrote declarations of love to Paris, like Ella Fitzgerald who sang “I love Paris”.
For sure there are other reasons why Paris is so romantic, but ask yourself a question:
Is there a better place than Paris to fall in love…?!
