August – Paris Beach

Paris Plages will once again transform the Quais along the Seine into a temporary beach resort complete with sandboxes where you can rent umbrellas and deck chairs to soak up the sun, a floating pool, live music and sport events and a fun summer atmosphere. Come and enjoy !!

August 6 – Free Museums

Since the year 2000, each first Sunday of the month, the City’s National Museums (except the Grand Palais, but including the Louvre, Orsay and the Musée Albert Kahn) open their doors to the public for absolutely no charge. Don’t forget to also visit the Musée de l’Orangerie, Musée Bourdelle, Versailles…

August 14 – 15 – Fête de l’Assomption

The Fête de l’Assomption brings pilgrims and the faithful from around the world to celebrate the Assumption of the Virgin Mary at the Cathedral of Notre-Dame. The two part religious festival includes an evening river procession along the Seine around the islands of Paris on the evening of the August 14th. On the following day, after a special mass, a grand procession takes place on foot through the Ile de la Cité – a moving and memorable experience in Paris! Notre-Dame, Metro line 4, Saint-Michel – Notre-Dame.

August 19 – Gospel Dream in Paris

This concert is designed to allow the audience to participate, witness and share a hymn to love. Metro line 4, Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

August 21-26 – Festival Rock en Seine

One of the most prestigious music festivals of Paris. Enjoy some of the world’s biggest bands at the annual Festival Rock en Seine which takes place in the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud, just outside Paris.

August 25-27 – United World Wrestling Championships

The Accorhotels Arena hosts the 2017 edition of the United World Wrestling Championships. Paris has therefore been chosen after Las Vegas to welcome the 47th championship of this sporting discipline, dating back to Ancient Greece. On this occasion, international athletes meet for quality wrestling matches before 6,000 spectators and supporters. 8 boulevard de Bercy – 75012 Paris.

August 1-31 – Summer festivals

In Paris there are a great variety of events happening all around the city, festivals that combine dance, music from around the world or local artists and musicians. This summer, enjoy free concerts in the Luxembourg Garden. RER B, Luxembourg.

August 1-31 – Fireworks at Versailles

The Palace of Versailles is an wonderful place that you should visit during your stay in Paris. During the summer, enjoy “The Fountains Night Show” and it’s amazing fireworks! RER C – Gare de Versailles.

August 25 – Sept 2 – Festival Silhouette 2017

Come and enjoy concerts and short films at the Parc de la Butte du Chapeau Rouge. Metro Line 7B Pré-Saint-Gervais.
