The Champs Elysées
The most beautiful, glamorous street in the world will begin the holiday season with its illuminations, Wednesday November 20th. The color is red this year, as last year, in an eco-conscious gesture, the same lights will be re-used from three to five seasons.
Ice skating at the Grand Palais
If you are in the neighborhood of the champs Elysées from December 16th to January 9th, 2020, La Grand Palais des Glaces, is the largest indoor ice skating rink in the world. Get inspired by holiday window displays
Another holiday tradition in Paris are the spectacular window displays. This year Galeries Lafayette celebrate bees in all their frenetic activity. Inside the store, an immense Christmas tree adorned in jewel-like colors attract a flurry of bees at 20 minute intervals. While the store, Printemps will delight adults and children alike with their cute furry friends preparing a humorous new year’s feast while inside hundreds of Christmas trees line the aisles. Food drink: some healthy options for holiday cheer!

The market which traditionally lined the Champs Elysées has been transferred to the Tulleries gardens for the second consecutive year. Saint Germain and Abbesses in Montmartre also will be hosting smaller but just as charming markets. And if you love Japan, head for the Espace Crinko,12-18 Passage Choiseul, in the 2nd arrondissement, near Palais Royal and the Louvre, Wednesday December 4th to Saturday the 7th, this market will be featuring everything made in Japan from decorations, food and gifts for the home.
