After a day of pounding the pavement and touring Paris, what could be better than to unwind, take in the sunset, with a cocktail (or a glass of chilled Evian, a cool beer, fill in your drink of choice….) on a rooftop of the capital with a breathtaking view. Here’s our pick at hiphophostels of the best rooftops in Paris to make you feel tip top.
Le George – For a cuppa culture
This restaurant/café with futuristic, refined design is perched atop the eye-catching Pompidou center. In the middle of the lively Beaubourg quarter, its experimental menu and breathtaking view of the Eiffel tower, Notre Dame cathedral and Sacré-Coeur are all points in its favor. You can also just take a coffee-break while visiting the center’s modern art museum.

Le Communion – For the musically inclined
This bar which was originally called the Nüba is on the roof of the Cité de la Mode et du Design. Conceptualized by the same partners who hold the annual electro festivals in France, music is the main course here. Latino, intimate on the inside and outside more electronic. Every week they concoct a new theme accompanied by food stands and activities.
Also on the site of the Cité de la Mode is the Cafe Oz, a roof-top bar which is part of a chain with an Aussie accent. Chilled atmosphere, sports projected on giant HD screens, DJ, light food to accompany after-work cocktails, Australian beers and shooters.

Picture-postcard view, a great place just to soak in the beauty of the capital. There are lounge chairs that you can relax in without a fee or take a table at the Cube restaurant/café with its very chic menu where you find that warm goat cheese with honey you’ve been craving and quench your thirst on a glass of champagne! Monday through Saturday 9 :30 am to 7 :30 pm weather permitting
